As a Moroccan living in the US for a long time, I share your ideals of justice, equality, human rights, individual freedoms...etc. But I think that you are woefully naive in your defense of these salafists. I agree that they should have fair trials, and that they should in any way be tortured. If they are found innocent, then they should be released, with an apology and even compensation. If they are found guilty, then they should do time for their crimes. It\'s easy for us living in the US to preach all those lofty ideals, but you have to bear in mind that some of these salafia jihadiya are just pure evil. They do not believe in tolerance, individual freedoms, gender equality. These cavemen would slit your throat if you don\'t wear a veil, would pour acid on you if you show some skin, and would behead anyone who does not share their radical beliefs. Now they are preaching pedophilia by saying that it\'s ok to marry a nine year old girl. These people are a stain on the human conscience. Please do not let our values and ideals blind you to the glaring truth.
